Revelstoke Credit Union Helps Fund COVID-19 Community Innovation Project

On top of leading in many employee and member-first focused ways of conducting business during the COVID-19 crisis, Revelstoke Credit Union was made aware of this community project in it’s early stages of funding and wanted to help get the project under way as soon as possible. RCU acted quickly to donate the remaining $8,500 of the project’s goal.

About the COVID-19 Community Innovation Project:

The local health authority has identified a need for face shields in the coming weeks. In response, the Revelstoke Idea Factory (RIF) has been working with local medical practitioners at Victoria Hospital to proto-type a reusable face shield for use by emergency and medical staff when treating patients with or suspected of having Covid-19.

As of today’s date, the prototype face shield has been approved for use and Victoria Hospital has already placed an order for 300.
