Crosscut Distillery in Sudbury, Ontario, who typically makes Vodka and Gin using locally sourced ingredients, has been producing hand sanitizer.
They’ve given away hundreds of bottles to the public, even without a purchase, though have recently shifted to prioritize supplying to health and community care. I was able to get a bottle from them, though I did make a purchase at the time in thanks.
My employer, Vianet, has made a donation to help them continue to make the sanitizer.
From the Crosscut Distillery website:
Thank you so much for all your support during these times. Within 24 hours, we transitioned our production from craft spirits to sanitizer to help keep our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We couldn’t have done this without the support from our community, media, and local businesses who have graciously donated supplies, services and financial support.
Special thanks to Vianet, City of Sudbury Procurrment, Laurentian University Biology Department, Duplicators Inc., Old Soul Soup Company, Lacroix Lawyers, Basin Customer Machining, Adoro Olive Oils & Vinegars, Soucie Salo, Tree Top Bath & Body, Natural Glow Studio and Cafimir Forest Soap.
